Music education stuff worth sharing!
I do a lot of creative work for my job in music education. Time to start sharing it with the world.

Stick Hero
A Rhythm Game for Your Classroom
Materials : Large projector screen, rhythm sticks (preferably red + blue), BOOMING SPEAKERS!!
"Dark Hills"
A Beginner's Piece for Any Band
This piece uses only the first 6 notes (Bb - G). Everyone's parts are unison so it's easier to not get lost, and there's no holes no matter how small your band is. Every band I've ever rehearsed this piece with falls in love with it. The classic. The G.O.A.T.
"Spark City"
"Dark Hills" But Harder
More than one unison part for the winds.. Using all the notes in the Bb scale (unless you're a clarinet).. More sections.. This is the natural step-up after performing "Dark Hills"!
Freeze Game
A Habit Forming Music Game for Prek-4
This one is very popular with my students. In my classroom this is our most common "bonus game" (something flexible we can play for 5-10 minutes if we get done with our lesson early). The kids never tire of this game as long as you don't play it for too long at any given time.
